For anyone working in the admin, on a computer or a phone.

The admin menu — every page one move away

The navy bar on the left of every admin page. For everybody who signs in to the admin.

Who opens it: anyone working in the admin, on a computer or a phone. What they came to do: get to the page they need without scrolling a long list.

The admin is reached from a slim navy bar on the left of every page. Each round icon is a group of related pages:

Icon Group Pages
Calendar with a star Events All events, Calendar, Event templates
Form and pen Registration Registrations, Registration forms, Discount codes
People Attendees Attendee directory, Imports & exports
Ticket with a tick Check-in Help desk, Badge printing
Wallet Payments Payments, Payouts
Paper plane Messages Sent messages, Email & print templates, Email lists, Text messages, Bounces & suppressions
Rising chart Insights Reports, Usage
Gear Setup Organization, Branding, Integrations, Billing, Security

Using it

  • Hover an icon and the full menu slides out with that group open. Move away and it slides back.
  • Click an icon, or the pin at the top of the menu, to keep the menu open. The arrow at the bottom of the bar makes it compact again. The choice is remembered for you in this browser.
  • Manage, Insights, Setup are the menu's three tabs: day-to-day work, reports, and things you set once.
  • Find a page searches every page you can open. Recently viewed lists the last five pages you opened.
  • On a phone the icons sit along the bottom of the screen. Tap one to open the menu full screen; pick a page or tap the cross to close it.

Switching between events

The box at the top left of every admin page names the event you are looking at ("Choose an event" when you are not on one). Click it to jump to another event:

  • Happening now comes first, then Coming up, Drafts and Finished. Archived events are not listed — find them in All events.
  • Find an event narrows the list as you type.
  • Dashboard beside an event opens its live dashboard, for roles that may see reports. Drafts have none yet.
  • All events and New event are at the bottom of the list.

The list shows your organization's events only.

Who sees what

Every person sees only the pages their role may open. A group with nothing in it for you is not shown at all, so a check-in volunteer sees little more than Check-in.

Light and dark

The menu follows the appearance chosen in your account menu (light, dark, or the device's setting).
