Payments — Finance's home
Finance → Payments. Where the Finance role lands after signing in. For whoever may read payments (Owners, Admins, Finance and Viewers by default).
Who opens it: whoever looks after the organization's money. What they came to do: see what came in, what went back, who still owes, and whether money can reach the bank. What must be true when they leave: they know the month's position without opening Stripe, and they know which registrations to chase.
What is on it
- Received, last 30 days — every card and manual payment taken in the last 30 days, before anything was refunded, and how many payments that was.
- Yours after fees — the same payments after EntryWick's fee and the card processor's fee, as each payment recorded them when it was taken. Nothing is recalculated from today's prices.
- Refunded, last 30 days — money sent back on payments that changed in the last 30 days.
- Not paid yet — registrations that owe something and have not paid, with the total owed. Cancelled, rejected and unfinished registrations are left out.
- Payouts — whether a payout account is connected, whether card payments are on, and whether Stripe is paying out. "Payout settings" opens the page where it is connected, for an Owner.
- Latest payments and Waiting for payment — the ten newest payments and the ten oldest unpaid registrations. "Every unpaid registration" opens the registrations list filtered to them.
Times are shown in each event's own timezone. Amounts are in the organization's currency.
What it does not do
It reads. A refund, or marking a registration paid, is done on the registration itself, where the reason is recorded and the audit log names who did it (cancel-and-refund.md).
Part payments and what is still owed
A registration owes the sum of its lines — the registration fee, any day added later, any discount code. Money received never changes what it owes. $50 taken at the desk against $200 leaves $150 still to pay and the registration shows Partially paid; the registration page lists the lines and how much of each is paid. A registration is confirmed once everything it owes is paid, and a card checkout started afterwards charges only what is left. Record a payment fills in the amount still to pay; type less for a part payment.
