Your email list, kept in step

Settings → Email lists. Growth plan and above. Spec: docs/INTEGRATIONS.md §2–§5, ADR-015.

Connect Constant Contact, Mailchimp or Brevo and everyone who registers arrives in your own list — so a campaign you send from there reaches the same people EntryWick registered, and a bounce there stops EntryWick mailing a dead address.

One contact per household. A family of four registered under one email is one contact in your list, with all four names in a field. That is what your list provider expects (it keys contacts on the email address) and what stops the same parent getting four copies of your newsletter.

Connecting

  • Constant Contact, Mailchimp: press Connect, sign in to the provider, approve EntryWick, and you are back here.
  • Brevo: paste an API key from Brevo → SMTP & API → API keys. Tick "send our confirmations, tickets and reminders through Brevo too" if you want EntryWick's own mail to go out through your Brevo account.

What is sent

By default, for each household:

EntryWick Constant Contact Mailchimp Brevo
email contact email audience member contact email
name of the person the household is registered under first / last name FNAME / LNAME FIRSTNAME / LASTNAME
everyone's names custom field ew_people merge field EW_PEOPLE attribute EW_PEOPLE
their tickets ew_tickets EW_TICKETS EW_TICKETS
group ew_group EW_GROUP EW_GROUP
ticket link ew_ticket_url EW_TICKET_ EW_TICKET_URL
the event, and each day a list each a tag each a list each
type tag tag in EW_TAGS
checked in on a day tag ew_checked_in:{day} tag in EW_TAGS

Change any of it under What is sent: rename a field, remove one, or add a form answer (registration.answers.<field key>). Anything not listed is not sent. Fields are created in your account the first time they are used. Long values (a very large household) are cut at a name and end "+N".

People with no usable email address — the ones who get printed tickets — are never sent.

When it syncs

When somebody registers, is issued a ticket, checks in, or changes their email or phone. A household that has not changed since it was last sent costs nothing. The health panel shows how many contacts are in step, how many are failing, and the last errors in the provider's own words.

Bounces

Mailchimp and Brevo tell us straight away; Constant Contact is asked every night. An address the provider says is gone (a hard bounce) or that marked your mail as spam is marked in EntryWick too, and that person moves to the print track.

Disconnecting

Nothing more is sent, and your credentials are deleted. Reconnect within 30 days and syncing continues with the same contacts rather than adding everyone again.
