Photo and video release

A consent on the registration form that says whether the organizers may photograph and film someone, and a No photos marker for everyone who said no.

Who uses it: registrants (and parents registering a child) on the form; staff at the help desk, photographers and volunteers handing out badges.

What they came to do: a registrant decides, once, whether they may appear in photos. Staff find out before a camera comes out.

What must be true when they leave: the answer is kept whichever way it went, and anyone who declined is marked where staff will see it.

Decided

• A consent field with consent.purpose: photo_release is the release (CUSTOMIZATION §2.2). The form builder offers it as "What it is for → Photo and video release".
• It is optional in the shipped Community Celebration event template (approved wording, version 2027-2); the waiver stays required.
• Every consent is recorded ticked or not: {accepted, at, ip, version}, with at and ip empty when not accepted.
• Someone who declined shows No photos on their admin page, at the help desk, on the scanner's result screen (with or without a signal), on their ticket (and after their name on a shared ticket that admits them) and on printed cards and badges.
• A release on the main form applies to everyone on the registration; a release inside a repeater row is that person's own and overrides it, either way (owner, 2026-09-13). No answer on record shows nothing.
