EntryWick documentation

For an organizer who would rather describe a form than build it question by question.

Build a form with your own AI — admin

Registration forms → Build it with your own AI. Phase 6 follow-up.

Who opens it: an organizer who would rather describe a form than build it question by question. What they came to do: get a working registration form out of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini — whatever they already pay for — without learning how EntryWick stores one. What must be true when they leave: they have a draft form of their own, they have read it, and nothing is live until they say so.

How it works

Registration forms → Build it with your own AI opens two boxes, in the order you use them.

  1. Copy the first box into your AI. It holds EntryWick's own description of what a form may contain — every question type, every condition, every action. Click in the box, press Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C.
  2. Tell your AI what your event needs — the days, who is coming, what you have to ask them.
  3. Paste the answer into the second box. The whole answer is fine; a code fence or a sentence in front of it is taken off for you.
  4. Make the form. You land on the new form, ready to read through and change.

You can give it a short code and a name, or leave both blank and they are chosen for you.

Nothing is sent anywhere from this screen. Your AI does the writing; EntryWick only reads what you paste. That is why it is on every plan, costs nothing, and works the same on your own server.

What you get

A draft, never a live form. It arrives unlocked and attached to nothing. Read it, change what you want, and only then put it on an event. Nobody can register through it until you do.

A form like any other. It goes through the same checks a form you built by hand does, so it can do nothing a hand-built one could not — and anything your plan does not include is taken out rather than quietly allowed.

When it says no

“That is not a form EntryWick can use yet.” The message names exactly where the problem is, like /pages/0/fields/3/type. That line is the useful part: paste it back to your AI, say "this was wrong", and you will usually get a corrected form on the next try. Your paste stays in the box while you do.

Common causes: the AI invented a question type that does not exist, or answered with an explanation instead of the form. Asking it again, with the error, nearly always fixes both.

When it changes something

“… was made, with changes.” Your plan did not include something the form asked for, so it was taken out and the rest kept. Two things can be taken out:

  • Conditional logic — questions that appear only when an earlier answer says so. Available from Growth.
  • Rules about what an answer may be — a minimum, a maximum, a pattern, an age limit. Available from Starter.

The form still arrives and still asks the same questions. It just does not check the answers, and you can add the checking later by moving up a plan — nothing needs rebuilding.

How a field is set up is never taken out: an upload's size limit, a group picker's depth, a phone's country.

If the paste is refused outright

Nothing was pasted — the second box is empty. It is far too long — you pasted a whole conversation rather than the form. It is not readable — the answer was cut off part way, or something other than a form was pasted. Copy the whole answer again, from the first { to the last }.
